We get the same question every year: "Should we come in August or September?" There's no easy answer, because each one has its own kind of beauty. But something we noticed last season stayed with us: some of the guests who first discovered us in summer came back — in September, even through the winter. It reminded us that Sığacık isn't just a "summer destination."
The Beauty of August
August is Sığacık at its liveliest. The sea is warm, Kaleiçi's streets are busy and cheerful in the evenings, and the marina restaurants are full. If you can only travel on fixed dates, August is definitely the month. But that same liveliness also means busier streets and rooms filling up earlier.
Why September Feels Different
The Aegean stays warm well into September — some days can even feel more pleasant than August, since the midday heat eases off. Kaleiçi's stone streets are still lined with the same bougainvillea, just quieter now; the market still has the same stalls, only fewer people in front of them. You don't have to wait for a table at restaurants, and you can walk through ancient Teos at sunset almost alone.
For us, the best part of September is that breakfast in the courtyard stretches even longer. Once the rush of summer eases, our Break & Slow philosophy finds its real meaning.
September at Boii
Some of the guests who got to know us in summer last season came back to us in September — and even through the winter. We don't think that's a coincidence: the people who truly love Sığacık love it even more once the crowds thin out.
If you're looking for a quiet holiday, away from August's rush but without giving up on summer warmth, September might be just right for you.
We still have availability for September — message us on WhatsApp and let's find the right room for you together.
